Sunrunner II was a dream I developed in 2015, after being disappointed and insulted by the condescension and open racism of the SWGEMU staff, ModTheGalaxy staff, and many of the private server owners.  I’m talking about Nazi flags, Hitler praise, KKK praise, all of it.  I founded my server to be a sane place where a true love of the game and its players, and the actual world and message of Star Wars could be expressed and enjoyed through innovative expansions and common sense community management.  Just work for the game, play the game, stay in the game.  But nope.  Trump supporters had to immediately arrive and ignore my rules, ignore my posted mission statement, and defile the community.  I held them off as long as I could, despite constant slurs, hateful interactions, dox and death threats, and theft of copyrighted work.  I tried to bring ideas and creations to this community that *nobody* else was even trying.  I cracked into the very origins of this game to understand and modify it, to make it feel limitless.  My tolerance for Nazis is not limitless, though.  Even though the vast majority of the FOUR THOUSAND players we had here, over the years, were great and honest enjoyers of the game –  the loud, whiny vocal minority of Trump supporting bullies (and a few simply pedantic basement dwellers that seemed apolitical but sympathetic to the racists over the victims) …  they won.  They were crying Covid hoax WHILE OUR PLAYERS WERE DYING OF COVID.  I’m not doing this for them.  I’m not giving my best for them, hence I’m not giving my best to anyone…  so I quit.  Three years ago.  This domain expires in May, and good riddance.  Support the remainder of the team working on Sunfire.  I gave them everything I created and told them how to continue.  I am not connected to that project in any way and I wish them the best, I am grateful to all of them for even trying to make Sunrunner II work.  They were the best.
